Latitude Homes will begin tree removal for the development at 37 Wildpine Court on November 24, 2025. The site is located at the end of both Wildpine Court and Ravenscroft Court. A temporary turnaround for Wildpine Court is at the southern property limit of the site.
When completed, the development will include a four storey, 94-unit apartment building, and a semi-detached home. A public road connection between Ravenscroft Court and Wildpine Court will be created through the site. The apartment building will be located on the north side of this new road connection, and the semi-detached home will be located on the south.
Here’s information from Latitude Homes about future construction plans and how the work will impact residents:
- Key contacts for resident inquiries about construction: The General Contractor (GC) will serve as the main point of contact for residents. Since the project has not yet been tendered, the GC for this site is currently unknown.
- Timelines: The civil work is expected to begin in Summer 2026 and be completed in Fall 2028 (once all approvals from the City are obtained).
- Blasting or hoe-ramming: Blasting or hoe-ramming is not required on-site.
- Road closures: Road closures are not required.
- Working hours: The anticipated working hours are from 7 am to 5 pm (Monday to Friday). However, we will know more once the project is tendered and awarded to a GC.
- Sweeping/dust control/garbage control: This will fall under the responsibility of the GC. Details will be provided once a GC is awarded the project.
- Parking plan: The contractor and employees will park on-site. Additional details will be provided once a GC is chosen for this project.
- Tree removal: A tree permit has been issued to remove the trees that have been approved for removal. Fencing has been installed to delineate the removal area. This work is likely to begin in late November 2025. (As part of the development approval, an environmental protection block is being established on the site, consisting of 12,125 square metres (approximately 1.22 hectares) on the north of the site, containing most of the existing trees on the property. This block would be conveyed to the City of Ottawa as greenspace.)
