February 1-28: Goulbourn’s Musical Talent: Past and Present (photo display)
In celebration of Heritage Month, the Goulbourn Township Historical Society, will host a special photo display highlighting the rich musical history of Goulbourn. Goulbourn’s Musical Talent: Past and Present brings together images of local music artists and performers who have contributed to the community’s cultural life over generations. The display showcases a wide range of musical expression, from early community musicians and performers of years gone by to more recent artists who continue to shape Goulbourn’s musical landscape today. Through photographs, visitors are invited to discover familiar faces, forgotten names, and moments that capture the importance of music in community gatherings, celebrations, and everyday life. These photos will be on display at the Stittsville Branch of the Ottawa Public Library, 1637 Stittsville Main Street during regular library hours.
February 6-8: 21st Annual West Ottawa Ringette Tournament
Come watch the fun and join in the cheering on as teams battle it out at the Cardel Recreation Complex, 1500 Shea Road and Tony Graham Recreation Complex, 100 Charlie Rogers Place. February 22: Kanata Chinese Seniors Support Centre 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration
The Lunar New Year, the most important traditional festival in Chinese culture, embodies renewal, reunion, blessings, and cultural heritage. It is both a joyful celebration and a time of profound significance for our community. We would be honoured to have you join us in celebrating this meaningful occasion. February 25: Free Hearing Clinic
The West Ottawa Community Resource Center is hosting a free hearing clinic at their Center at 2 MacNeil Court in Kanata. February 26: Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness of bullying by wearing a pink shirt. According to Canadian Institutes of Health Research, about 1 in 3 students in Canada have reported being bullied. February 28: Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser for Lionhearts
We invite you to join team “Councillor Glen & Friends” in support of Lionhearts Inc. Ottawa at the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser on Saturday, February 28 in Stittsville. Lionhearts Inc., is an incredible Stittsville-based organization focused on food recovery and food security. They provide food to the Stittsville Food Bank, emergency shelters, and organizations across the city that serve low-income residents. More info…

March 7: Amelia Derk Puzzle Competition Fundraiser
Join us at a local fundraiser and have fun at the same time, at the Johnny Leroux Arena, 10 Warner Colpitts Lane, to help send local athlete Amelia to the F-Class World Championship in Bisley UK in August. Amelia is one of only 2 female shooters on the Canadian F-Open Team and the only one under 25 years of age! Show your support, while piecing together your puzzle, which you get to keep at the end of the competition! Every Saturday: Stittsville Parkrun (depending on the weather & trail conditions)
The “Ottawa-Carleton Trailway” parkrun starts on the Trans Canada Trail by the dog park pathway entrance near Shea and Granite Ridge, and will run along Robert Grant to Bobolink and back. There are no road crossings on the route. This is a 5km run suitable for all ability levels. The event runs every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. For further information, please visit parkrun Canada.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: St. Thomas Clothing Drop-Off
St. Thomas Anglican Church, located at 1619 Stittsville Main, accepts gently used clothing every Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Please do not leave clothing after these hours. They accept clothing with no holes, rips, or pet hair. They will take all sizes, shoes, boots and outerwear. If you would like to volunteer with set-up, sorting or takedown, please call 613-836-5741. Their Next to New Clothing store is only open to recipients of the Stittsville Food Bank.
