<p><em>La version française suit</em></p>
<p>Forestry Services’ spring caliper tree planting program begins this week and will run until mid-June, weather permitting. This includes tree planting in parks, at City facilities, and along streets through Forestry Services’ lifecycle tree planting programs as well as some projects for the Schoolyard Tree Planting Grant Program. <em>(Please note that the list of locations does not include trees planted by other City Services, through developments projects, or by applicants as a condition of tree removal permits.)</em></p>
<p>Where a tree planting is scheduled on City property adjacent to a residence, as part of our Trees in Trust Program, individual notifications will be provided to the resident in advance of planting. Residents should also expect to see utility locate flags and paint on the ground that should not be removed or mowed until planting has been completed.</p>

<p>Lancé cette semaine, le programme de plantation d’arbres des Services forestiers se poursuivra jusqu’à la mi-juin, si les conditions météorologiques le permettent. Des plantations auront lieu notamment dans les parcs, sur le terrain d’installations municipales et le long de rues dans le cadre de ce programme et de projets au titre du Programme de subventions pour la plantation d’arbres dans les cours d’école. <em>(À noter que la liste des emplacements n’indique pas les sites où des arbres seront plantés par d’autres services de la Ville, dans le cadre de projets d’aménagement ou pour répondre à une condition d’un permis d’enlèvement d’arbre.)</em></p>
<p>Quand la Ville prévoit planter un arbre sur un terrain municipal jouxtant une résidence, dans le cadre de son programme Fonds des arbres, elle avisera individuellement les résidentes et résidents concernés avant la plantation. Sachez aussi qu’il ne faut pas enlever ou tondre les drapeaux et les marques au sol indiquant l’emplacement des services publics d’installations avant la plantation.</p>

<p>Forestry Services’ fall calliper tree planting program began on October 1,  and will run until mid to late November, weather permitting. This includes tree planting in parks, at City facilities, and along streets through Forestry Services’ lifecycle tree planting programs, as well as some projects for the Schoolyard Tree Planting Grant Program. (Please note that the list of locations does not include trees planted by other City Services, through developments, city infrastructure construction projects, or by applicants as a condition of tree removal permits.)</p>
<p>In this round of planting, approximately 178 trees are being planted through the Trees in Trust, Trees in Parks program, and Right of Way Replacement. There are also another 175 trees being planted by the Eco West Enders at  CARDELREC on October 18 as a community tree planting project. Volunteers will be planting 175 trees and everyone is invited to join in the fun. This is a great way for students to “grow” some volunteer hours. The City will provide all necessary equipment for planting, including shovels and mulch. Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the weather (as it will go ahead rain or shine) and bring gloves if needed. <h2>Mise à jour concernant la plantation d’arbres à l’automne 2025</h2>
<p>Le Programme de plantation d’arbres de l’automne des Services forestiers a été lancé le mercredi 1<sup>er</sup> octobre et se poursuivra jusqu’à la mi ou la fin novembre, si les conditions météorologiques le permettent. Des arbres seront plantés dans les parcs, sur les terrains d’installations municipales et le long des rues selon les programmes réguliers de plantation des Services forestiers, ainsi que dans le cadre de projets liés au Programme de subventions pour la plantation d’arbres dans les cours d’école. À noter que les arbres plantés par d’autres services de la Ville, dans le cadre de projets d’aménagement ou de construction d’infrastructure municipale ou pour répondre à une condition d’un permis d’enlèvement d’arbre, ne figurent pas sur la liste des emplacements.</p>
<p>Au cours de cette période, environ 178 arbres seront plantés dans le cadre du programme Fonds des arbres, du programme de plantation d’arbres dans les parcs et du remplacement des arbres sur les emprises. Il y aura également 175 arbres qui seront plantés par le groupe EcoWestenders à CARDELREC dans le cadre d’un projet de plantation d’arbres communautaire.</p>
<p>Des bénévoles planteront 175 arbres et tout le monde est invité à se joindre à eux. Voilà une excellente façon pour les élèves de « récolter » des heures de bénévolat. La Ville fournira tout l’équipement nécessaire, y compris les pelles et le paillis. Les bénévoles sont encouragés à s’habiller selon la météo (car l’activité aura lieu qu’il pleuve ou qu’il fasse beau) et à apporter des gants, au besoin.
