Cycling is a fun activity for the whole family! Whether going on a leisure ride or heading to the library, cycling is a great choice for folks of any age. This workshop will cover everything you need to know to make family cycling a success.  We will cover kid-carrying bikes, adaptive cycles for adults, route planning considerations, and real-life tips from someone who’s been there! This workshop is adapted for people of all ages and cycling abilities.

When: Wednesday, June 29, 2022, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Register for the workshop today! A Zoom link will be sent out 24 hours, 1 hour, and 10 minutes before the start of the virtual workshop to those who register.

Ecology Ottawa is holding a workshop for residents of the Stittsville community and other interested parties, led by Walkable Ottawa’s founder Rosaline Hill and volunteer Carolyn Mackenzie.

The purpose of the workshop will be to identify and map the barriers to walkability in your neighbourhood, and the missing pieces required to make your neighbourhood a complete community.

This is a grassroots process, intended to inform the City of Ottawa and the public on how this can be done. Together we can understand your neighbourhood and help plan an evolution to a complete 15-minute neighbourhood. https://www.ecologyottawa.ca/15minute_neighbourhoods

The workshop is planned for Wednesday, December 8. The introduction video (along with a workbook) will be sent out to everyone who registers for the workshop in advance.

Écologie Ottawa organise un atelier sur le « quartier du quart d’heure » à Stittsville

Écologie Ottawa organise un atelier pour les résidents de Stittsville et autres parties intéressées, qui sera dirigé par Rosaline Hill, fondatrice de Walkable Ottawa, et Carolyn Mackenzie, bénévole.

L’objectif de l’atelier sera de cerner et de cartographier les obstacles à la piétonnabilité dans votre quartier ainsi que les éléments manquants nécessaires pour faire de votre quartier une collectivité complète.

Il s’agit d’une initiative populaire, à l’intention de la Ville d’Ottawa et du public, visant à mieux comprendre le quartier et à aider à planifier son évolution vers un quartier complet du quart d’heure : https://www.ecologyottawa.ca/15minute_neighbourhoods

Cet atelier est prévu le mercredi 8 décembre. La vidéo d’introduction et le cahier seront envoyés aux personnes qui se seront inscrites à l’avance à l’atelier.
