Taggart is beginning construction this week on Idylea Linear Park and pathway. It’s located along the western edge of the new Idylea community, and east of homes on Caribou Street, Liard Street, and John Sidney Crescent.
In the final design, the pathway alignment will follow a mostly-straight line heading north-south along the eastern edge of the park, with a few deviations due to address grading issues. This alignment was chosen based on resident feedback and to minimize the removal of existing mature trees.
The work includes:
- Minor tree removal is scheduled to begin December 4. (This work has been approved by the CIty’s forestry department.)
- Base preparation for the stone dust pathway will occur later in December.
- Additional work in 2026
