Starting the week of November 3, tree removal and pruning will take place near the Granite Ridge Pond and on the other side of Abbott along the downstream channel.
This work is required in preparation for a stormwater pond cleanout project scheduled for summer 2027. The City’s Stormwater Management group has consulted with the Forestry Department, who have approved the removals and established tree compensation requirements that will be implemented once the cleanout project is complete. The City has also informed property owners along the easement where the tree removal will take place.
