The application for a zoning bylaw amendment at 560 Hazeldean Road will be considered for approval by the City of Ottawa’s Planning & Housing Committee on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
The proposal is to rezone the site, which is currently used as a golf practice facility, to allow the development of 98 homes (50 single detached homes and 48 townhomes). An Arterial Mainstreet Zone is proposed to apply to the northern portion of the site along Hazeldean, for which a future Site Plan Control application will be submitted to construct a residential/mixed-use development block.

Examen de la demande d’aménagement du 560, chemin Hazeldean par le Comité de la planification et du logement le 7 octobre
La demande de modification du Règlement de zonage concernant le 560, chemin Hazeldean, sera examinée par le Comité de la planification et du logement de la Ville d’Ottawa le mercredi 7 octobre 2026 en vue de son approbation.
La proposition porte sur un changement de zonage du site, qui sert actuellement de terrain d’entraînement de golf, afin de permettre la construction de 98 habitations (50 maisons individuelles et 48 maisons en rangée). Elle propose de désigner la partie nord du site, le long de Hazeldean, en tant que zone d’artère principale, laquelle partie fera l’objet d’une demande de réglementation du plan d’implantation en vue de la construction d’un îlot résidentiel à usage mixte.
