With the warm weather finally here, we are getting lots of inquiries about progress on future parks and park renewals in Stittsville. Here’s the latest information that we have as of May 2026. We’ll continue to post updates on this page as the projects progress.

New parks
Fernbank District Park (Abbott/Lift/Clintonia/Rouncey)
We are anticipating public consultation on the park design to begin in June.
Brummell-Curry Park (Cope at Dagenham in Westwood)
Previously referred to as Cope Park. Construction is anticipated to start this month and completed by the end of 2026.
Crossway Park (Crossway Terrace in Connections)
Construction on the new play structure is expected to start in late May and substantially completed by the end of July. Some new grass/sod areas may be fenced off until the lawn gets established.
Dagenham Park (Dagenham at David Wiens in Westwood)
Previously referred to as David Wiens Park. Construction is expected to start this month with completion by the end of 2026.
Granary Grove Park (Granary and Craig Duncan in Shea Village)
Work is expected to start this month and be completed by the end of July 2026.
Idylea Linear Park (west side of the Idylea neighbourhood)
This is a north-south pathway link that connects Fernbank Road to Kemp Woodlands, with homes on Caribou and Liard backing onto it as well. Construction began in December 2025.
Shea Woods – future off-leash dog park
In 2022, City Council approved an agreement to acquire and protect approximately five hectares of Shea Woods, and protect the forest as a part of a public park. That acquisition is now complete, and the land is owned by the City of Ottawa. In the next year or so, the City will be undertaking engagement to finalize the park plans.
Park upgrades
Bradley-Craig Park – Cricket pitch (Cranesbill)
Final design is underway, and installation is expected later in 2026.
Ralph Street Park – Swing replacement (Ralphpark Street)
Work is expected to be completed by the end of July 2026.
Stitt Street Park – play structure replacement (Stitt Street)
Public consultation for this project took place in January 2026. A refined concept is being prepared and will be shared on Engage Ottawa with implementation updates. Construction may begin late this year, with completion in 2027.

Voici les derniers renseignements dont nous disposons en mai 2026. Nous continuerons à publier des mises à jour sur cette page à mesure de l’avancement des projets.

Nouveaux parcs
Parc de district Fernbank (Abbott/Lift/Clintonia/Rouncey)
La consultation publique sur la conception du parc devrait débuter en juin.
Parc Brummell-Curry (promenade Cope et rue Dagenham dans le lotissement Westwood)
Auparavant appelé « parc Cope ». La construction devrait commencer ce mois-ci et être terminée d’ici la fin de 2026.
Parc Crossway (terrasse Crossway dans la communauté Connections)
La construction de la nouvelle aire de jeux devrait commencer à la fin mai et être en grande partie terminée d’ici la fin juillet. Certaines surfaces gazonnées peuvent être clôturées jusqu’à ce que la pelouse ait bien poussé.
Parc Dagenham (rues Dagenham et David Wiens dans le lotissement Westwood)
Auparavant appelé « parc David-Wiens ». La construction devrait commencer ce mois-ci et être terminée d’ici la fin de 2026.
Parc Granary Grove (intersection Granary Grove et terrasse Craig Duncan dans le lotissement Shea Village)
Les travaux devraient commencer ce mois-ci et être terminés d’ici la fin juillet 2026.
Parc linéaire Idylea (côté ouest du quartier Idylea)
Il s’agit d’un sentier nord-sud qui relie le chemin Fernbank à la zone boisée de Kemp, jouxtant des maisons situées dans les rues Caribou et Liard. La construction a débuté en décembre 2025.
Boisé du chemin Shea – Futur parc pour chiens sans laisse
En 2022, le Conseil municipal a approuvé un accord pour acquérir et protéger environ cinq hectares de ce boisé, et préserver la forêt en l’intégrant à un parc public. Cette acquisition est maintenant chose faite, et le terrain appartient à la Ville d’Ottawa. Dans la prochaine année, la Ville mènera une consultation pour mettre la dernière main aux plans du parc.
Améliorations des parcs
Parc Bradley-Craig Park – Terrain de cricket (chemin Cranesbill)
La conception finale est en cours et l’installation est prévue plus tard en 2026.
Parc de la rue Ralph – Remplacement de la balançoire (rue Ralph)
Les travaux devraient être terminés d’ici la fin juillet 2026.
Parc de la rue Stitt – Réfection de l’aire de jeux (rue Stitt)
Une consultation publique pour ce projet a eu lieu en janvier 2026. Un concept révisé est en cours de préparation et sera communiqué sur Participons Ottawa avec des mises à jour sur la mise en œuvre. La construction pourrait commencer à la fin de cette année, avec un achèvement prévu en 2027.
