City staff have received a re-submission of the Zoning By-law Amendment for the planning application at the corner of Hazeldean and Savage Drive (file No. D02-02-25-0070).
All updated plans and studies can be reviewed on the City’s Development Application Search Tool (refer to documents labelled “2026-07-03” for the latest versions).
The following changes have been made to the proposed building heights:
- The tower at the corner of Hazeldean Road and Savage Drive (Building A) has been reduced to 15 storeys.
- The other tower along Hazeldean Road (Building B), which abuts 5862 Hazeldean Road, has been increased to 27 storeys.
- The building at the rear of the site (Building C), which abuts 9 Savage Drive, has been reduced by 0.5m to 13m.
Councillor Glen’s comments: “I have not yet reviewed the re-submission, but my comments from last February still stand. Primarily, the building heights should be capped at 18 storeys maximum to match the City’s new zoning by-law. My team and I will share more information next week once we’ve had a chance to review the new documentation.”
