Stittsville Main Street will be closed for through traffic between Warner-Colpitts Lane and Mulkins Street nightly from Monday, August 3 until Tuesday, August 11. The overnight closures start at 9:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 a.m. The road will be open at all other times on weekdays and weekends. Pedestrian access along one sidewalk will be maintained at all times. Local traffic access will also be maintained.
This work is to facilitate the development at 1412 Stittsville Main. The contractor will be connecting the building to underground city services, including storm, water, and sanitary. The City is allowing the overnight closure to avoid disruptions during the day.
Signed detours will be in place for the duration of construction activity. The detour will steer overnight vehicle and bus traffic around the closure through Mulkins Street and Walter-Colpitts Lane (in front of Johnny Leroux Arena). Residents are encouraged to be aware of the construction and plan ahead for evening and early morning travel.
